Opening the SAVE event at Central Hall, Westminster

It’s been a busy month or so for the Solent Achieving Value from Efficiency (SAVE) project. On 6th June 2019, Dr Tom Rushby and Prof Patrick James from the University of Southampton team joined project partners at a special event to mark the close of the project. The event was held at Central Hall, Westminster. A reception with further presentations and panel discussions followed at Portcullis House with a selected audience of industry professionals, regulatory and policy stakeholders, third sector organisations and others.

Presentations by the SAVE team covered many aspects of the project including project methodology, trial design, recruitment, customer engagement, trial results, modelling and more. Dr Rushby gave two presentations: the first, on the design and evaluation of the SAVE randomised control trials; the second, on the modelling aspects of the project delivered by the University  of Southampton.

 

Prof James presented analysis of the impacts SAVE community energy coaching trial on electricity demand and the value of understanding the characteristics of loads connected to low-voltage networks.
